Weddings: New York Times VOWS- Tearsheets

Weddings present a full range of emotions which I reflect visually as true, magical moments.

As a Pulitzer Prize winning veteran newspaper photographer, I am comfortable in the background, and practiced in letting these moments materialize before my lens. I like to let the scene unfold organically, and capture the essence of your wedding day experience.

While on staff at the New York Times, the VOWS column was my frequent beat. "VOWS, and its new journalistic approach to weddings "changed the genre of wedding photograhy," according to David Griffin, Director of Photography at National Geographic Magazine.

You can see some of the published work ,as well as private weddings I have photographed in this, and subsequent galleries.

Vows are literally the promises a couple make to each other during the wedding ceremony. Similarly, when asked by a couple to photograph their special day, I make a commitment to document with the true eye of a photojournalist, and the soul of an artist. This means that you get a visual diary of the day that is neither staged or formal, but rather an intimate, truthful and timeless record of this most memorable occasion.
