In Search of the Baobab Tree
In Search of the Baobab Tree is a book
project of landscapes that philosphically adresses the intangible qualities of light. During a trip to Senegal, I encountered the baobab; this spiritual tree is also called an upside down tree for it appears that it's roots are in the air. The baobab tree is steeped in a wealth of mystique, legend and superstition wherever it occurs in Africa, and was for me the starting point along the path of mytravels.
